During 2020 our work on Open Season included replacing the entire navigation system with B&G.
We tidied up the electrical system installation and continued further, integrating yacht systems into a central controller and then deployed new touchscreen interfaces for this system across the vessel.
2019 Hydraulics Upgrade…
During the Refit of Open season in 2018-2019 having made the decision to focus on its cruising programme but still participating in Superyacht Regattas, Open season underwent a major refit.
Diverse Performance Systems was tasked to develop the yachts systems with the focus on providing a package that improves handling with a less race oriented crew. The limited “backup” DC hydraulic powerpack has been replaced with a new [60KW] 48V DC Smart powerpack that is capable of powering all of the hydraulic systems on board. A variable speed bow thruster has also been added. Diverse has upgraded the yachts batteries and controls and integrated all of the power and domestic controls to an intuitive single user touch screen interface with all new PLC software. This is further supplemented with a wireless iPad interface.
